Minnesota Visiting Nurses Association (MVNA)
A registered nurse comes each week to our Day Center to provide a nurturing environment where our clients can discuss any physical, psychological, or social concerns they may have.
Many of our clients do not own their own vehicles. For those that do, the financial cost of travelling to the hosting congregations is a burden. In order to best serve our clients, we contract with PRISM's bus service to transport our clients to and from the hosting congregations each day.
Parents In Community Action (PICA) Headstart
PICA Headstart is a special preschool program for homeless children. It is available six hours a day, Monday through Friday, all year long for children who are six weeks to five years old. This comprehensive early childhood development program promotes the social, emotional, physical, and intellectual growth of each child served. Our families can even participate in a similar program with PICA after they leave us.
Urban Immersion strives to give volunteers a chance to serve and connect more personally to the issues of struggling urban families. Through out connection with Urban Immersion, volunteers come to our Day Center to help in a variety of ways from playing with children, being homework helpers, or doing cleaning and organizing projects.
