Since our beginning in 1991, Families Moving Forward has served more than 3,500 people in more than 1,000 families in our Emergency Shelters.

Consistently, year after year, at least 50% of the families in the emergency shelter move directly from Families Moving Forward to their own independent housing. This is a remarkable record.

Families Moving Forward knows how to work with low income families with children.

Not content to simply manage the crisis of family homelessness, Families Moving Forward has served more than 50 families in our Affordable Housing Programs. Consistently, year after year, more than 80% of the families in our housing remain stable for more than a year; many families more than 4 years.

This is also a remarkable record, as the Families Moving Forward housing programs have been designed to help families that have been homeless and include disabled family members. These families are not easy to help, but Families Moving Forward knows how to work with both the parents and the children, to keep them stable.
